Ph.D. Student
Rajia Sultana is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department at the University of Connecticut. Her academic journey commenced at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she attained both her bachelor's and master's degrees, demonstrating commendable academic prowess.
Following her academic pursuits, she started her professional journey as a Scientific Officer at the Designated Reference Institute for Chemical Measurements under the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Bangladesh. Subsequently, she transitioned to the role of Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She devoted nearly a decade to a diverse array of multidisciplinary research fields, encompassing polymer composites, biofuel synthesis, nanoparticle production, high-quality polycrystalline materials, heavy metal evaluation, animal skin treatment methods, drug-drug interactions, and food-based microbial assessments.
In Fall 2023, Rajia Sultana joined Dr. Jeffrey McCutcheon's distinguished research group at the University of Connecticut.
