Ph.D. Student
Mert Can Hacifazliglu is a PhD student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He got his bachelor and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Ege University of Izmir/Turkey.
During his Master's, he studied on pilot and mini-pilot scale applications of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes for reclaiming industrial wastewater as irrigation water.
Since joining Dr. McCutcheon research group in Spring 2022, he has been working on fabrication of customizable desalination membranes by electrospray 3D printing.
