During her undergraduate studies, Akanksha explored various research areas, including adsorptive removal of phenol, membrane technologies for protein recovery, and bio-oil production through pyrolysis. She joined Dr. Jeffrey McCutcheon's research group in 2025, where her current work focuses on the layer-by-layer deposition of polyelectrolyte complexes using an electrospray process to create highly selective membranes.
