Ph.D. Candidate
Yasmin Bimbatti is a Ph.D. student in Polymer Science at the University of Connecticut. She got her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Centro Universitário FACENS, São Paulo, Brazil.
While pursuing her bachelor’s degree, Yasmin worked for almost 7 years as a researcher at ELANTAS, a German company member of the Altana Group, where she acquired a huge experience in formulation, syntheses, and characterization of organic polymers, such as unsaturated polyesters, polyesters, polyester-imides, polyamides, polyurethanes, and epoxy resins.
She joined Dr. Jeffrey McCutcheon's research group in Spring 2023, and since then she has been working with synthesis of polymeric membranes by electrospray.
