Ph.D. Candidate
Mi Zhang is a second year Ph.D candidate in the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department at the University of Connecticut. She got her Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering in China, and M.S degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University with interest focus on biochemical techniques. She joined Dr. Jeffrey McCutcheon's as lab graduate assistant in 2018. Her current research projects include bench test on ceramic membranes, electrospray utilized in ultra-thin film composite ceramic membrane, organic solvent mixture separation and PFAS removal. She exhibits ability, flexibility and great enthusiasm in working effectively with people from different research backgrounds on versatile projects. She will be ultimately pursuing a career in industry engineering field.
