Ph.D. Student
Deniz Ipekci is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Her academic background includes obtaining both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Ege University in Izmir, Turkey.
Throughout her master's program, Deniz dedicated three years to researching the separation of boron and lithium through bipolar membrane electrodialysis processes (BMED).
In the spring of 2022, she became a part of Dr. Jeffrey McCutcheon's research group. Since then, her focus has been on the synthesis of ion exchange membranes using the electrospray technique.
